I love technology and I love art. Throughout my studies of Fine Art I always combined innovative multimedia with visual design aesthetic in my work. This has continued and developed throughout my career, from development to creative direction and design to art creation. I am constantly kept abreast of new exciting digital technologies and I am very enthusiastic whenever I get the opportunity to use them in my projects.

Mission Hills mobile app

While working as creative director for BBDO Proximity, I worked on the art-direction and did some hands-on design for the Mission Hills iphone app. Mission Hills are luxury golf hotels in China with resorts in the mainland and Hainan.

IKEA

In 2010 the new IKEA store in Kowloon Bay opened and to celebrate the launch of the new store, they approached Leo Burnet ARC to build an interactive flash site. I was hired to do the development and consulting for this project. The "Love where you live" site run for 6 months and it was divided into three phases. It was a collection of animations, videos and mini-games that provided interesting trivia about the Hong Kong citizens and their wishes, along with a presentation of the new IKEA store.

MSF

Doctors without Borders is a worldwide organisation that is active in conflict zones around the globe helping people in need of medical care. To highlight the immense difficulty and importance of their work, we created a site with interactive flash animations that where based on real life stories from the conflict zones. Every now and then the user needs to select an option on how the story should progress, by interacting and having the ability to change the course of the story, the user momentarily becomes part of the story. I was hired by ARC to work on this project.

The BP Photography Department commissioned me to create a video that promotes their vast library of photographs. The video was deployed in BP offices around the globe.

Iconography

Three words. I LOVE ICONS ! In my opinion, icons are powerful visual queues and the perfect tool for conveying messages or instructions with the least amount of space. I always make use of icons in my projects and I enjoy designing them. Above is a selection of three sets of icons I designed from three different projects that I worked on. The first one was developed for an e-learning software, the middle set was created for BP and is still being used in some places on their site and the last one was part of a wine e-commerce site.

Innovative Exams Platform

Innovative Exams is a revolutionary Chicago based start-up company, which enables companies to administer and offer secure and fair testing anywhere in the world without the need of a brick and mortar testing center. For this project I worked on the UI design and their offline branding. By developing an intuitive user interface, I managed to offer a unique and hassle free experience for scheduling and managing Exams online.

My partner and I, were approached by the Brandon Learning Centre to design and develop their site. This site was created from scratch with attention into creating a eye-catching and intuitive user Interface along with a robust Content Management System.

This site was created for the architecture studio C:A+D. It was developed in Flash and it makes use of the papervision 3D framework. The design of the site is minimal in order not to distract but emphasise the architectural works.

Flash GML Player

The artist Evan Roth has created the Graffiti Markup Language (GML) which is a specifically formated XML and records graffiti so that it can be used with other digital systems. The flash application I developed can animate and display any GML file.
